Cardi B “WAP” Artist Business Insider

So you most likely already have heard all the commotion about Cardi B’s new single “WAP”. If you haven’t I don’t know where you’ve been hiding. The song “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, an acronym for Wet Ass you know what received a lot of heat for its name and vulgar lyrics. If you ask me it shouldn’t. This is a huge double standard in the music industry been going on since Lil’ Kim. First off I don’t understand if you didn’t like the song, Stop Streaming it. It’s fine when its a man rapping about his H*** and Bi*****, or when Juicy J says “Slob on MyKnob”. When a female wants to express sexuality in the same way its wrong. This should not be the case its music/entertainment and honestly, Sex sales and everyone knows that.

So what she tapped into a lucrative market and used it to her and her family’s advantage. I don’t see anyone talking about offsets lyrics in slippery and in any other song. Just because people say things in songs does not mean that’s how they conducted their lives. For all, we know Cardi could have DAP. If you’re looking for “woke” Lauryn Hill.

I think they are out there no one takes the time to listen to them cause being a hot girl is the trend right now but I feel we will get back to the glory days of hip hop its just a matter of time.

Until next time thanks for reading and leaving your thoughts.
